Welcome to Hippy's Goodness, a veteran-owned small business dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of military aviation. Hippy is a retired Naval Aviator and previous Aircrewman who founded the store at the end of 2022, to offer a unique selection of gifts and memorabilia focused on military aviation.
Hippy's Military Background
Hippy enlisted prior to September 11th and served as a P-3C Orion Naval Aircrewman with the Patrol Squadron One (VP-1) Screaming Eagles. serving a short tour and RIMPAC deployment he selected for Officer Candidate School (OCS) and flight School ultimately flying SH-60B Seahwak with Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron Four Four (HSL-44), The World Famous Swamp Foxes. Fast forward Hippy retired after a combined 24 years in the Navy and Navy Reserve.
The Birth of Hippy's Goodness
Hippy's Goodness was born out of a personal need and a passion for aviation history. As a retired Naval Aviator who began his career as an enlisted Aircrewman, Hippy experienced firsthand the challenge of finding memorabilia from old and decommissioned squadrons. These items hold significant sentimental value, yet they become increasingly scarce for veterans and family to find once a squadron is no longer active. Unless a squadron is famous, manufacturers typically cease production of items featuring its logo.
Recognizing this gap, Hippy decided to take matters into his own hands. Hippy's Goodness was created to provide a solution for fellow veterans and retired aviators who, like Hippy, cherish the memories of their service and seek to keep their squadron's legacy alive. Our store offers a range of high-quality, meticulously crafted items that celebrate these proud traditions and histories.
