This high resolution logo sealed to the pint glass and dishwasher safe is perfect for that veteran or enthusiast to celebrate the most storied Navy Squadron from Vietnam. In 1966, the U.S. Navy introduced rotary wing support for the Vietnam War with Helicopter Combat Support Squadron ONE (HC-1). Initially using Army UH-1B gunships for quick reaction and close air support in the Mekong Delta, the success of these missions led to expanded operations. This expansion necessitated the creation of specialized units, resulting in the formation of Helicopter Attack Squadron (Light) 3 (HAL-3), or "Seawolves," in April 1967. HAL-3 was manned by 80 volunteer aviators and commanded by LCDR Joseph B. Howard. The squadron's patch featured a wolf, a trident, and symbols reflecting its mission and South Vietnam.
