This premium Pint glass with dishwasher safe graphics celebrates Sea Control Squadron 24 (VS-24).  VS-24 was a unit of the United States Navy. Initially established as Bombing Squadron 17 (VB-17) on January 1, 1943, it underwent several redesignations: to Attack Squadron 5B (VA-5B) on November 15, 1946, to Attack Squadron 64 (VA-64) on July 27, 1948, to Composite Squadron 24 (VC-24) on April 8, 1949, and finally to Sea Control Squadron 24 (VS-24) on April 20, 1950. The squadron was disbanded on June 1, 1956, but was later reestablished as an S-3 Viking Squadron before ultimately being decommissioned in 2007.
